NSF K-1 registered products are solvent cleaners certified safe for use on non-processing area products in food production.
NSF K-2 registered products are solvent cleaners certified safe for use on electronic instruments.
NSF’s nonfood compounds program was established to evaluate the risk of contamination of chemical compounds used in and around food processing facilities. Using NSF registered products can help food and beverage processors meet their Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification requirements. NSF laboratories and certification programs are independently accredited by more than 50 international organisations including the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), and the International Accreditation Service (IAS).
